The first step in designing a life and business you love is easy, yet many people attempt to skip it and jump right into building websites and trying to make money. Before you get bogged down in thinking about websites, storefronts, traffic, landing pages, ads, etc., dream big or you may find that you have simply created a new job for yourself not a new lifestyle that you love.
It Starts with a Dream
“I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse.”
Walt Disney
Those who follow me know that I love all things Disney and I visit the Disney World parks frequently. Walt Disney came from very humble beginnings and his dreams became wonderful experiences the world can share. Imagine how sad it would be if Walt Disney had only thought about making money as a young man. In fact, Walt was terrible with managing money when he was first getting started in his business. Luckily, he was smart enough to ask his brother, Roy to help him with the money side.
Disney Knew how to Dream Big
Yes, it is expensive to visit The Magic Kingdom but the magic of Disney trickles down to books and movies that practically everyone in the world has experienced a bit of Disney Magic. In fact, when one visits any Disney Theme Park efforts have been made to not see money changing hands.
Wrist bands are given to you that can purchase everything in the park with a touch of the band to a device at a food stand or gift shop. These wrist bands open your hotel room door if you’re staying on Disney property and can be used as a fast pass to get on rides before a crowd at the parks. Of course, Disney is making money like crazy, but it is not thought about constantly. Guests at the parks can simply enjoy the experience without feeling nickel and dime. Many guests dream big dreams of ever going to Disney so every effort is made to bring joy to Disney’s guests.
“I dream, I test my dreams against my beliefs, I dare, I take risks and I execute my vision to make those dreams come true.”
Walt Disney
Launching Your Big Lofty Ideas

You may be thinking, “Wow! I have too many ideas, I don’t even know where to start. I want to do all of these things in my business, but I don’t know where to start or which one will work.”
This was me. I had tons of ideas bubbling up in my mind every day. One day, I was out walking at sunrise and I was overwhelmed with all these wonderful ideas at once.
I was marching along, staring at the sidewalk and I felt a strong urge to look up. Suddenly, I saw this huge beautiful hot air balloon launch into the pink sky.
I stopped walking and took in the view. Then another balloon launched into the sky and
then a third balloon launched. Each one seemed more beautiful than the last as it floated upwards. I heard a little voice say,
“Your ideas are all beautiful, but you can only launch one at a time.”
